Terms and Conditions of Use



1. Terms of Use. This website (the "Site") is operated by or on behalf of Bristo Yoga School, Ltd ("Bristo Yoga School") for users 18 years of age or older. Please read these Terms and Conditions of Use ("Terms and Conditions") carefully. These Terms and Conditions, including all documents referenced herein, represent the entire understanding between Bristo Yoga School and you regarding your use of this Site and supersede any prior statements or representations. The Site's Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms and Conditions by reference and is made a part hereof.

Access to and use of this Site is subject to all applicable laws and regulations. To the extent that access, or use of this Site would be deemed illegal by governing law, such access or use is prohibited. BY VISITING ANY AREA ON THE SITE, OR IF YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR AN ACCOUNT THEN BY CLICKING "I HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE," YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT CLICK ON THE BUTTON, OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH BRISTO YOGA SCHOOL, OR OTHERWISE USE THE SITE. As long as you comply with these Terms and Conditions and any modifications hereto as permitted below, Bristo Yoga School grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, limited privilege to enter and use the Site.

2. Use of Materials. Materials on this Site (including those streamed or downloaded from the Site), including but not limited to software, images, text, graphics, music, videos, long form programs, user interfaces, logos and trademarks, along with the overall "look and feel" of the Site (collectively referred to as the "Material"), are owned or licensed by Bristo Yoga School and are protected under various intellectual property laws.

CLASSES, COURSES WORKSHOPS & EVENTS:

Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Student ID must be provided upon registration for classes- in person. Bookings made and paid for via the website will be charged at the standard rate until after the client's Student ID is presented at registration during Reception Hours. Same applies to prospective members of the Uni Yoga Society- all current and prospective Society members must show their membership card at the time of registration to the Receptionist and at this stage new members will be eligible for their respective discounts. Registered, Full-time students receive a 20% discount on drop-in Yoga classes and blocks of 5 & 10 Yoga classes, Pilates classes, and Yoga/Pilates courses. Current members of the EUYS receive 30% off drop-in Yoga classes and blocks of 5 & 10 Yoga classes only.  

2. Bristo Yoga School reserves the right to refuse admission to the studio.

3. Bookings are made subject to the School's right to alter the programme or teaching staff as a result of circumstances beyond its control.

4. If the class, workshop, course or event has to be interrupted or abandoned, no money will be refunded if more than half of it has taken place.

5. Latecomers may be admitted at the discretion of management and teacher/workshop leader.

6. The use of cameras and recording equipment and mobile phones is strictly forbidden.

7. Blocks of 5 and 10, and any other bookings, may not be transferred from the person for whom they are purchased to any other group or individual. Bookings are nontransferable. 

9. NO REFUNDS will be issued unless BYS must the cancel a class or workshop at the last minute.


Terms and Conditions of Exchange

1. Where possible, BYS will exchange the purchase of a Course if the purchaser has a good reason for needing to switch Courses.

2. All exchanges must be requested via email or in person.

3. All exchanges will be made to the original purchaser of the booking.

Bristo Yoga School Cancellations

Should BYS have to cancel a Courses, Workshops or events for any reason a full refund will be offered. Classes on the Drop-in Timetable often change, and refunds will not be offered for blocks of 5 & 10 classes. Drop-in blocks are flexible for both students, teachers, and BYS- and for this reason BYS requests that everyone pre-book their classes to ensure viability. 


Block Classes
Block Classes (5, 10) may be used for regular classes, donation classes and community classes. They may not be used on workshops, events, teacher trainings or courses (except on certain beginner courses and kirtans – please check with reception for details).
10 class passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. They are valid for three months.
5 class passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. They are valid for two months.

Concessions
Concessions are available on selected classes, workshops, courses, events and teacher trainings. It is necessary to provide proof of concession when making a booking. If making a pre-payment over the phone, clients will be requested to provide a copy of proof either via email or post before we can take payment. We provide concessionary rates for the following:Disabled people; full-time students; those on income support (not including child maintenance); senior citizensSECURITY OF INFORMATION Personal information collected by Bristo Yoga School and our website is stored in secure operating environments that are not available to the public. Bristo Yoga School will secure your personal information no matter where we process or store your data. Privacy Policy This is to confirm that Bristo Yoga School takes the security and privacy of our customers very seriously. We endeavour to conform with the UK and European Data Protection laws. We do not share any information with third parties nor do we collect or retain any information other than that necessary for us to provide our services to you. We give the highest possible priority to the safety and welfare of children and will in all circumstances cooperate with police and government authorities in combating any and every attempt to harm or pursue sexual relations with children and young people.How do we use personal information? We will use your personal information necessary for us to provide our services to you. We do not share any information with unrelated third parties nor do we collect or retain any information other than is required for the provision of our products or services. Information collected during the application process, will be stored securely. Information collected will be securely destroyed if it is no longer required by Bristo Yoga School.Third Parties Where we engage third party contractors (e.g. teachers, therapists etc) to perform services for us, those third party contractors may be required to handle your personal information. Under these circumstances those third party contractors must safeguard this information and must only use it for the purposes for which it was supplied although we are not responsible for ensuring this. Other than the above, we will not disclose your personal information without your consent unless disclosure is either necessary to prevent a threat to life or health, authorised or required by law reasonably necessary to enforce the law or necessary to investigate a suspected unlawful activity.Client Management Bristo Yoga School makes use of third party software, Mindbody Online, to manage bookings. BYS uses Mailchimp for e-newsletter mailouts. Changes to our Policy From time to time it may be necessary for us to review and revise this policy. We reserve the right to change our policy at any time and should this occur the amendment would be posted on our website.
